Our Episcopal bishop - the Rt. Rev. John Smylie - joins us at Good Shepherd on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20 for his annual visitation. Included in this visit will be a celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Groundbreaking for Good Shepherd.
We will have a 'mini-groundbreaking' about 4:00 on Saturday afternoon, and then there will be a time of questions and answers, as well as information shared from the bishop and the congregation.
On Sunday, at 9:30, the Bishop will lead us with his preaching, and presiding at the Lord's Table during the morning worship service. Included in the worship time will be a confirmation liturgy for those from Holy Trinity, Gillette, who are ready for confirmation. A brunch will be enjoyed by all after the morning worship.
We recently held a House Mass and potluck supper in the home of Good Shepherd parishioners. This was a fun time, and a meaningful service as we worshiped using the Wyoming Eucharist liturgy. The meal had a Mexican theme, and everything was delicious, as was to be expected.
Holy Eucharist at 9:00 and Bible study at 9:30 continue on Tuesday morning in the Parish Hall.
